The silica glass "NOVAXIL," formed by the Zolgel method, possesses characteristics similar to quartz glass while allowing for the creation of free shapes that are difficult to achieve with pressing methods. It is ideal as a mass-produced lens for high-power light sources, lasers, and ultraviolet applications, which typically have durability issues in optical glass. Furthermore, the UV-C grade has transmittance characteristics close to synthetic quartz, making it optimal for optical components used in sterilization.
